  • Uireung is the tomb of King Gyeongjong (景宗, 1688–1724), the 20th ruler of the Joseon Dynasty, and his second consort, Queen Seonui (宣懿王后, 1705–1730).
  • King Gyeongjong's reign was relatively short but marked by efforts to stabilize the kingdom and promote cultural development.

Uireung is located in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul, South Korea. It was built in 1755, about 31 years after King Gyeongjong's death.

A rectangular wall encloses the tomb and measures about 100 meters from east to west and 120 meters from north to south.

  • The admission fee for ages 7-18 varies and will be displayed upon arrival.
