Jungmun Saekdal Beach

Jungmun Saekdal Beach (or 중문해수욕장) is one of the famous beaches on Jeju Island. It is strategically located in Jungmun's tourist complex area.

This beach area has a beautiful extensive sandy shore, which earned the name 'Jinmosal' (meaning 'fine sand').

This extensive sandy Beach is over 500 meters long. It is white sand. The beach slopes gently towards the sea, which has an average depth of over one meter only.

The white sand is mixed with some shades of grey, reddish, and black sand. Such a combination of four distinctive colors makes the sight of the Beach more attractive to see.

Compared to other beaches on Jeju Island, Jungmun Beach's waves are stronger. This feature makes this Beach famous among surfers.

As a volcanic island, Jeju Island is filled with fantastic volcanic cave channels that link with each other. Know that visiting a cave on the island is one of the must-do activities among travelers. And Haesikgul is one of them, especially when you are in the Jungmun area.

The four distinct sand colors, the cave, the arch-shaped shore of Jungmun Saekbal Beach, and the shallow water, but strong waves make this area a usual seat for soap operas and movies.

The cliffs near the shores also provide a natural and beautiful backdrop of the Beach and the island itself.

Birds of various species make their home on the cliffs. Offers of ecology tours in the area are also accessible for a limited basis.
