Hoehyeon Underground Shopping Center is one of the easiest and fun places to purchase budget and elegant items for both personal and gift usages.

Hoehyeon Shopping Center is located between Myeongdong and Namdaemun Market in Seoul's busiest area.

Some years ago, Hoehyeon was once a famous Mecca for LPs (Long-Playing records) in the 1980s. Since then, the number of LP shops has decreased due to changes in the technology of storing music.

However, it is still the place to go among LP collectors. Nowadays, you can always find some of these shops and shops that sell stamps, older currency, cameras, analog items, and antique products.

You can also find some artwork and more items that can be used as gifts or home decors, or souvenirs to travel to South Korea.

You will be surprised when you realized that this shopping area is just some meters away from the new and larger fancy department stores in the area.

Most of these older generation shops are being handed down from one generation to the next.

However, it's not just the old LPs you can find in Hoehyeon. You can also purchase hardcore music stores, Justin Bieber music, and other mixed music for all generations.

You can take any public transport that travels the area. The easiest would be the Seoul Metro line.

Take Subway Line 4 and then get off at Myeongdong Station. Go to Exit 4 or 5 to find the place.

Alternately, you can take Subway Line 4 and get off at Hoeyhyeon Station, then come out from Exit 1 or 7.
